1. Create the Right Environment

3. Express the Issue Clearly
- State the specific situation or behavior
- Use concrete examples
- Focus on facts rather than assumptions
- Avoid generalizations ("always" or "never")
4. Active Listening
- Allow the other person to respond fully
- Practice reflective listening
- Ask clarifying questions
